He may be contracted to one of the biggest club's in the world, but ask many fans about the talents of Tosic and not many are likely to give you an answer.
The left-sided winger was snapped up by Sir Alex Ferguson to join Manchester United from Partizan Belgrade in January 2008 for a reported £8million, with the Red Devils boss hailing him as a real prospect.
A year later however, despite being given the number 14 shirt and seemingly a bright future in United's first team, Tosic has been unable to flourish at Old Trafford, playing just two league games for the senior squad.
He was loaned out to FC Cologne in order to get first-team football in January this year, and the move paid off with Tosic scoring five goals in 13 games. The 23-year-old is highly regarded in Serbia and is expected to play a significant role on the wings for the national team during the World Cup.
A pacy, tricky left-winger with good goalscoring ability from both set-pieces and in open play, Tosic's slight frame has been seen as a reason why he may not adapt to the physical demands of the Premier League.
But if he can show his best form this summer, it may be enough for Ferguson to provide him with the chance to revitalise his career at United, or at least give him the opportunity to be courted elsewhere.
